Privacy

Your data is not raw material.

This page explains the boundary between website account data, Web Chat, and local Mac app data.

Last updated: August 24, 2026 · Document ID: privacy-2026-08-24

What the website collects

When you create an account, we keep your email, optional display name, account language, subscription details, session history, and aggregate Managed usage. The account portal does not store Mac app conversations or Project files.

Conversations and files

The Mac app stores conversations and projects locally by default. When you use Managed, a request passes through for model processing without conversation text entering service logs. Only file excerpts needed for the answer may be sent.

Web Chat request lifecycle

When you send from Web Chat, your message and the completed local context that fits the limit are relayed through Dleel's server to the Managed model to generate an answer. This surface is text-only, accepts no personal provider keys, and runs no tools. The answer streams back, and the service does not retain conversation text as server-side chat history.

Local history, logout, and deletion

Web Chat keeps a bounded set of completed turns in this browser's storage, separated by account. If storage is blocked or a write fails, an ephemeral notice appears and history stays only in the tab's memory. Logging out hides local history but does not erase it from the device. Clear history removes this account's namespace in this browser. Confirmed account deletion attempts the same removal here; clear other browsers or devices separately.

BYOK keys

Your personal AI-provider keys stay in Keychain on your device. The website does not upload them to your Dleel account, and the app sends them only to the provider you chose.

Billing

Payment happens on a page hosted by the billing provider. Dleel receives subscription status, a customer reference, and events needed to operate the plan, but not your full card number.

Recovery email

When you request email verification or a password reset, Dleel sends Resend the recipient address, the recovery email's HTML and text content, and its recovery link. Under the current Resend plan, Resend processes this data in the United States and retains email content and metadata for 30 days. We do not claim that no-content-storage is enabled.

Security and retention

The website session uses protected cookies and does not put tokens in browser storage. We keep account data while the account exists and retain security or billing records as legally and operationally required.

Your choices

You can revoke sessions, manage a subscription, clear Web Chat history, or delete the account from the Account page. Server-account deletion does not remove local Mac data; delete that separately from the app settings.
